During this week's reading on chapters five and six of Superforecasters, some exciting stories stood out more than others. From the many fascinating stories, Superforecasters told the Fermi-ize approach, the perspective of knowledge and intelligence, and the capture of Osama Bin Laden. These three pieces in Superforecasters provided a lot more insight and curiosity on the opinion of forecasting. The Fermi-ize approach is a decent process for solving complex problem sets. This approach allows the forecaster or problem solver to take a question and dissect it by separating the knowable from the unknowable. The idea of taking a single question and generating follow-on questions to develop relevant answers to the single question seems quite impressive.
